In India online transaction is increasing day by day after Demonetization in 2016.  Now in India most of people purchase and pay online using mobile application. In addition of above, people has also started banking transaction online from their mobile or computer system. Just as online capacity has increased in India, online fraud has also increased. These days many of our important works are being done through internet. Increasing Internet connectivity around the world, making our lives easier, there are increasing dangers.So every Indian who is doing his work online somehow by mobile, computer or other means, it is very important to know about the dangers given below. Hackers today have many such ways through which they can steal our personal information and also cause us financial loss. Let us know about such dangers.

Phishing

Phishing is a online fruad email in which data captured through link. These phishing emails looks like ordinary email. Hackers try to assure you through email that they are asking for bank information or other data for your benefit. In these emails, it is written on behalf of your bank that your debit card has been defective or has been canceled, which will be sent to your home after debiting the card number, Aadhaar number or other information. You may find this information your bank is asking for, but behind all this, there may be a web of hackers.

How Phishing Email Works

There is a link in the phishing email when clicked, you go to the web page created by hackers which is connected to their server. If you don't understand then you will fill your card or account information, which will be recorded in their server. Hackers can use these information to conduct banking transactions.

How to avoid a fishing attack

Notice the domain name or spelling mistakes in where the email came from. Cyber Criminals usually use emails of well-known companies / banks, just altering their names a little so that they look genuine.Avoid clicking on the link given in any suspicious email or think twice. Cyber Criminal threatens the security threat to you through email. If you still feel that the email or link is correct, then go to your bank or financial institution or call and check.

Malware

Malware is a software created by hackers with the aim of stealing data, deleting data from the system, changing system functioning and monitoring system functioning.These programs can be installed in your system in many ways, by installing fake software, clicking on unintentional links, using pirated operating systems or visiting an unsafe website.

Pharming

Farming is like fishing using which hackers steal your personal information and sensitive information easily.In this, hackers create fake websites which will show you that this is the same website that you are using every day. A lot of attractive offers are also given on these websites so that the user can easily fall into their net.People share their card details or bank netbanking or all other information with them due to these attractive offers.

 

Keystroke Logging 

In this, you mistakenly install some software like farming Or downloaded from an unknown link. This software sends the keywords or keyboard typing details you made to hackers during your NetBanking. So do not install any unintentional software in your system.

Internet safety for Students

• Install a good anti viurs in your computer system and keep updating it over time. 
• Do not click on any unintentional link 
• Do not use unsafe mobile application | Even if you have to, do not allow that application to access all mobiles. Before downloading an application from the store, you must review that application, check its rating And also note how many people have downloaded this application. |Avoid using very low rating and less downloaded applications. 
• Do not ignore the given reviews related to the mobile application in the store. 
• Check the emails related to giving free, discount or reward mobile phones, these emails are mostly fraud. 
• Do not share the information sought in any web portal or email or take full information about it. 
• Do not tell anyone your card details, CVV number or OTP, even if it is telling itself as a bank employee. 
• Do not install pirated software on your computer or mobile. 
• Before opening a pen drive or any hard drive, you must scan it with your Anti viurs.
